Look this up on google – 1987 SUZUKI GSXR250 GJ72A for all the history these amazing bikes. 34 Years old and nearly double the BHP of the current GSX250R.
Your going to buy/want this bike for a few of reasons,
- Its fantastic to ride, handles superb and unlike many old school sports bikes has very good riding position and handling characteristic (Its really easy to ride) . A brilliant first bike and A2 legal too (Its absolutely on the power to weight legal limit.
- 17000 rpm is something we all need in our lives, it will have you grinning from ear to ear regardless of if its your first bike or have been riding for 40 years
- Its an investment, this bike is about as rare as it gets in the UK, especially in this color. (Never seen another 250 like this) – This bike is going up in value.
The Engine is a wonderful example of precision engineering with 4 x 62cc Pistons each having 4 Valves. And is restricted by design to 45bhp & 17000 rpm red line to comply to the Jap learner rules back in the day…. The rev counter starts at 3K not zero 🙂 its done just 10500 miles, 600+ in the last year so re run in. Parts are available as shared with other suzuki models and a number of bikes in the UK breakers.
Tyres are Bridgestone’s from 2001 year and while considered old rubber are not hard and are scrubbed in nice, plenty of tread. Id ride as is, up to you if you want new rubber.
Paint work, A few little marks and patina, its a clean original bike. Restore to concourse and this would be a £6000 + bike. Personally Id keep it as it is
Battery, Chain & Sprockets good, New Fork Seals fitted in April. It will fly through its MOT when it becomes due in September, Can re test if asking price paid.
Bike is located at our Motorcycle Clothing and Bicycle Shop (We are not a motorbike dealer but can kit you out with all the rider gear to get you set up to ride away)
